What is fitness?


Fitness is when you are both physically and mentally fit along with living a healthy lifestyle.

The following are the 4 types of exercises, each offering unique benefits:

  • Endurance exercises are activities, like Aerobics. These exercises help improve the health of your heart, lungs, and circulatory system. Physical activities that build endurance include:

  1. Walking or jogging

  2. Dancing

  3. Swimming

  4. Riding your bike

  5. Playing recreational sports

  • Strength training exercises help your muscles stay strong can help with your balance. Strength exercises include:

  1. Lifting weights using dumbbells or barbells.

  2. Resistant bands

  3. Body weight

  • Balance exercises are used to strengthen your balance, which in turn helps prevent falls. And improves your balance.

  • Flexibility exercises- Stretching can improve your flexibility.
